Formwell Garden

This masculine bachelor’s pad is a celebration of Wabi-Sabi pholosophy. It was designed using natural material, limited palette and simple lines. The design takes inspiration from the Japanese monochromatic tone with vast usage of various timber to create a warm and mimimalistic vibe that is both sophisticated and inviting. One of the wood we selected is the recycled wood board which expose the layers of compressed wood to create this distinct and intriguing visual effect that is both rustic and contemporary.

The existing windows were enlarged to allow the client to enjoy the unobstructed scenery using folding glass window and appreciate life in the simplest and most humble form. One of the standout features of this duplex is the custom-made industrial walk in closet that adopts H-beams and other alloys that are both refined and edgy. Wired glasses are also used to resemble a fashion retail atmosphere to reflect strongly on the clients’ passion for fashion.

The overall design of this bachelor’s pad is a beautiful fusion of modern minimalism and Japanese inspired aesthetics. The use of natural materials, clean lines, and simple shapes create a warm and inviting space that reflects the clients love and respect towards Japanese lifestyle and culture.
